We get there through pre-job planning on every task, stop-work authority for every person on site, and a safety culture that is owned and empowered in the field — not just written in a manual. New markets and new growth never mean new standards: how we work, how we protect each other, and our bar for safety, quality, and environmental practice do not move.

ECAO R.H. Carroll Safety Awards
The ECAO R. Hugh Carroll Safety Awards, created in 1999 by the Electrical Contractors Association of Ontario, recognize member companies for outstanding safety leadership. These annual awards honour the legacy of R. Hugh Carroll in health and safety, utilizing both leading and lagging indicators to evaluate industry-leading practices. Cormorant legacy companies received two awards in 2025.

Both EPTCON and PowerTel were named 2026 recipients of the ECAO's Recognition of Safety Achievement Award, which celebrates member companies that maintain injury and illness statistics below the industry average — reflecting a strong culture of prevention and safer jobsites across Ontario.
